Some of you look like dramatic teenage girls

Baseball teams will lose to inferior teams from time to time and when your head coach approaches these types of games with a practice type of mindset, it happens. The team learned things last night it didn’t know before, and that’s going to help them down the stretch in May and June.
Jay does the same thing in Hoover when LSU doesn’t absolutely have to win there in order to host the regional.
Some of you look like whiny children who are ready to give up on the team after this loss. Calm down. Jay Johnson is our head coach and there’s not a single program out there that wouldn’t be thrilled to have him because of the results he achieves through games like last night.

Well said. This should be required reading for panicans. Unlike football, where losing one game could make a difference in a national title, baseball relies on a gradual approach by testing players early in tough situations, giving them experience, and seeing who is reliable when the chips are on the table. We will be better off from having young guys put in pressure situations because they will be reliable when we really need a win.

What is really sad is we have to have this same conversation every single year. It’s like a lot of people here just choose to not accept that baseball is not like football and get the same rinse and repeat dumb threads after our yearly midweek losses.
