They don’t mind athletes taking sides.
They object to them taking the wrong side.
They object to them taking the wrong side.

The only rooms they lost are the NYT newsroom and the big room filled with miserable Marxists, shrill women and beta sub males.

If tweet fails to load, click here. 2012. MSNBC’s Alex Wagner and Neera Tanden rip Boston Bruins player Tim Thomas for not going to the White House after the team was invited by Obama for winning the Stanley Cup.
Tanden: “This is kind of the hyper-partisanship that just irritates everybody."
“It's like, just go to the White House. You don't have to run an ad or cut a commercial or anything. Just go to the White House, take part, celebrate just like everybody else celebrates with Republicans or Democratic presidents.
Wagner: “Especially when you're getting honored."
Oh.

While that may be true… it’s not how the other side sees it.

Those bastards never leave their bubble. They don’t understand that the vast majority despises them. California and NY can burn.

My preference, and the stated preference of many of this board, is to leave politics out of sports, entertainment and business.
But do go on.

i agree, as i look at sports as a release from the day to day bullshite, but they are citizens and also have the same 1st amendment rights as you and i... who am i to judge when they use that, even if i don't agree with what they say
