Is he supposed to stop recruiting if he hasn't been fired yet?

NOLA.com said this recruit is 22 & played in a pro league in Australia. Guess this is a look at the future.

& Brian Kelly had Lamar Brown committed to LSU

It means nothing about CMM’s future

It's a kid similar to Ron Zipper (older overseas pro league player)....who did nothing this season

Because they barely gave him a chance to play.

He didn't sign anyone. It's just a commitment. But even if he did sign, it doesn't mean anything because he (and any other player LSU signed) would be let out of their LOI if McMahon is fired.

Technically he still has a job and is under contract to be LSU's HC next season. He (or, more accurately, his staff) can't stop recruiting just assuming he will be fired. Johnny Jones signed 2 players for 2017 in his final season. That didn't stop him from being fired.

Look buddy. Now is not the time to go changing things up with wild experiments in the roster. LSU has to tighten that rotation. What do you want LSU to do? Lose?

Zipper was a defensive liability in non conf play
he would get torched in the sec
he does have a decent shot though

Who knows if he was good enough? When you hit the end of February with less than 4 SEC wins...for the 3rd time in 4 seasons, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to not give guys on the bench at least some opportunity to play to see if they can provide any type of impact. Maybe he isn't good enough and would provide zero impact. But what does McMahon have to lose by giving him some minutes? The game? There is 80%+ chance that is going to happen regardless if Zipper plays or not.

You're 2-12 in SEC play. You're second to last in made 3 pointers (per game) in SEC play. Of Zipper's 14 FGA this season, 12 have been 3 point attempts...of which he's made 5 (42%). Why not give him a few minutes a game. What is the worst that can happen?

LSU is 107th nationally in defensive efficiency. 14th in the SEC. I'd say LSU is doing a pretty good job of being bad defensively without Zipper.

In SEC play LSU is 2nd to last in made FGs per game, 3 point attempt, 3 point makes, and points per game. So Zipper's not good defensively. That means you go from being really bad defensively to.....continuing to be really bad defensively. On the flip side MAYBE you can add a few points to the second worst offense in the league

Maybe so but at this point what's the worst that could happen? We lose another game? Try anything and everything and see if something works.

Not sure it means we can read to much into other than MM is trying to save his job.

Does seem to indicate that the Scarborough narrative that the staff would be gutted is BS.

Who evaluates, offers and ultimately signs the players? Yet another miss by this failure of a head coach. He has no idea what it takes to be successful at the P4 level. Absolutely none.

Nah man, gotta keep playing Tamba for 25 minutes each game.
