I thought I could look up the FSA number but I can't without some sort of membership and login.

I know there's some smart people here.... who can pin this for me on a map or give me a physical address? This is the first lease I've ever seen that doesn't have any sort of physical address on it.

This is all I have-

quote:

Legal Description:
Section Five (5), Township Five (5) North, Range Four (4) West lying East of New Levee containing 178 acres, more or less; West Half (W ½ ) of Section four (4),
Township Five (5) north, Range Four (4) West containing 227 acres, more or less; and the Northwest Quarter (NW ¼) of Section Nine (9), Township Five (5) North, Range Four (4) West containing 160 acres, more or less; and 32 acres lying in the Northeast Quarter (NE ¼) of Section Eight (8), Township Five (5) North, Range Four (4) West. Said lands being all of the lands owned by the Lessors in Woodruff County, Arkansas

More specifically, it lies within the Public Land Survey System (PLSS) description of: • Township 5 North (T5N) • Range 4 West (R4W) • Sections 4, 5, 8, and 9 • East of the “New Levee” (a local levee reference within that township) All referenced sections (4, 5, 8, and 9) are within Township 5 North, Range 4 West, which in Arkansas is surveyed from the 5th Principal Meridian. ?

What That Means Practically Township 5 North, Range 4 West in Woodruff County places the property: • In the western half of Woodruff County • Likely near the White River floodplain, since levee references are common in that area • In predominantly agricultural land (consistent with the FSA farm number reference) The total acreage described is approximately: • 178 acres • 227 acres • 160 acres • 32 acres = ~597 acres total ?

If You Want an Exact Map Location To pinpoint it precisely, you would: 1. Open a PLSS map (Arkansas, 5th Principal Meridian). 2. Locate T5N, R4W. 3. Identify Sections 4, 5, 8, and 9. 4. Plot: • West ½ of Section 4 • All land east of the New Levee in Section 5 • NW ¼ of Section 9 • 32 acres in the NE ¼ of Section 8 If you’d like, I can narrow it down further to a modern road or nearby town within Woodruff County.

Your land description is in central-western Woodruff County, roughly: • Between Augusta (to the northwest) and Cotton Plant (to the south), • Just east of State Highway 17 and in the vicinity of Wiville, AR, • Within the rural agricultural grid of county roads that run along PLSS section lines.

No, no I don't think you did.

If County Rd 894 were to continue on westward for 2000 more feet, that would be the SE corner of the property, then go due west to the levee until you hit the levee to form the southern border and due north from this corner to form the eastern border before tracking the tree line Southwestward to form kind of a jagged triangle where the right angle of the triangle would be at the SE corner of the property.

That's the ~160 acres.

The 32 acres is due south of the said SE corner, and does look like it occupies about a little bit of that slough.

I'm 99.9% sure on this.

eta: better clarification on the S and E borders

It’s everything shown as Margaret McCulloch Long (not just highlighted) (also the smaller tract at the corner that is not zoomed in enough to show the owner name).

actDataScout

I don't know if the link will bring you right to it. If not, search actDataScout then select Arkansas and then real property and then Woodruff County. Enter Margaret Long into the name search. It will pull up all four parcels. Click on "map" for any of them and you can zoom in and out, etc.

The pin from NfamousPanda above is accurate. It's on the Peach Orchard Bluff tract immediately adjacent on the east.

I think it's the triangle shaped piece NW of that highlighted Quarter Section that kind of looks like a mirror of Idaho, and the little piece west of the highlighted property with property line being within that slough.

The block you highlighted is only in Section 9. The description says it's in Sections 4,5,8,9. Section 4 is north, 5 is NW, and 8 is west of what you've highlighted.

ETA: Nevermind, I re-read the original listing. This is right. It’s definitely all of that Margaret Long stuff.

I said it's everything shown as Margaret McCulloch Long (not just highlighted). I can't highlight all of them at once.

Here it's the three tracts shown as Margaret McCulloch Long plus the highlighted tract that looks like a nose. Four tracts total.

Send it to the PO box of a dead person listed in the owner description on the actDataScout site. I'm sure it will be paid directly.
