Does Todd Graves become the next owner of the team when he also purchases the Saints?

It will interesting if someone wants to just buy the Pels and keep them here. Because of the current structure on Airline Drive, you’d essentially have to build from the ground up.

The Saints and Pels share almost 70% of the same staff sans football/basketball ops. New facilities would have to be built since they share a campus.

Ain’t that the cheapest used car salesman shite you ever heard of? Maybe we can get some car dealership staff to help out with ticket sales too?

They already have that in house. It’s laughable the things they do to inflate the attendance. They’ve also quietly started budget cuts with some staff.

Graves will buy the Saints

Someone will buy the Pelicans to move them.

Where do they move to? What would be the third market needed for a balanced league?

If you move them to Seattle, then the Vegas dream is dead because it would be unbalanced at 31 teams.

Gayle is not selling the team until she collects that $300-500m windfall from league expansion.

Ownership that lies to its fans and is trying to cut its way to prosperity is telling all of us the franchises are in the death spiral phase. Just move the Pels and see if somehow the Saints can hang on. Shough is offering just enough hope to keep people engaged with an otherwise clueless ownership and management structure.

The NFL and NBA need to step in and force a sale, it won’t happen though.

The inmates have been running the asylum for 20 years.

Every single exec has been eating off the corpse of Tom Benson since 2005. They know Gayle can’t run a business and are just padding their wallets until the inevitable sale. That’s the reason why she won’t put up the money on big time renovations. They’ll let her be a narcissist and put her name on any school that wants her money because she’s never accomplished anything of success on her own.

Vegas and Seattle are both going to get expansion teams in the next few years, and Gayle's payout will be ~$400 million from that. Any talks of a potential sale would happen after that occurs. The NBA wants to get expansion done before talking any particular relocation. And they know relocation is not on the table while Gayle owns the team, so no reason to entertain that at this point.

The Pelicans certainly aren't going anywhere in the next decade while Gayle is alive so this is a low IQ conversation

The NBA and NFL have to be hoping Graves is truly interested. He would bring some name recognition and inject some life.

He'll probably buy the Houston Texans or some other non-New Orleans NFL or NBA team before Gayle passes away

By 2035 NOLA will not be a top 75 MSA market. Cities like Boise, Omaha, Greenville, SC have or will pass NOLA and have much better business prospects than a city that just lost Saks in the largest shopping center in the city. It’s dying fast as Teedy killed any hope and its death spiral is well underway.

Southeast LA with BR NOLA metros is 2.5 million people. State is improving economically. Team is going nowhere

Saks? The global company that just filed for bankruptcy last month after its retarded acquisition of Neiman Marcus, who hasnt paid the bills for some time from all their locations? They closed a Neiman Marcus in Boston in the same set of moves.

It must be exhausting to hate nola so much, just move and get on with your life buddy.

As much as we bash the ownership decisions I don’t think they sell or move anytime in the next 3 years. That said the lease at the SKC is coming up very soon. I believe NOLA.Com said the lease to SKC expires in 2029. That is 3 years away. Fletcher brought up several weeks ago that ownership wants serious renovations to SKC and revitalization of the area . We have yet to hear from the governor on this idea. Perhaps we get an idea in the offseason on where things stand?
