I used to give the little ones the evening of the parade to fool with the throws.

All spit cups saved.

All the rest in the trash next morning.

I guess I could see saving signature beads from good or noteworthy parades

Organize, rebundle, rethrow.

Anything to not pay the Kerns or the Chinese more.

We save the good ones, ones with dates, special throws, etc. The rest we store until next Mardi Gras and donate to our kids' school for their little parade.

Cups go in the cupboard and dwindle as we use them for go cups or let friends pour one for the road or whatever.

Tree? I have never been to Louisiana, let alone Mardi Gras. This is some serious business.

shite we pack em up to throw next year.

We also gladly take throws rhat people want to throw away and throw them next season. Haven't bought a bead in 5 years for my kid and wife(no pics) to ride

After buying throws for the St. Paddy’s parade last year, I starting asking people this year for the beads they were gonna toss starting with any Christmas parades in anticipation of being able to ride again in March.

We used to put them in quart Ziplock's, put them on Ebay and make around $10 bucks per bag for them. A laundry basket full of beads turns into fat cash quickly.

We save good beads and toys for my wife to use in her classroom as rewards.

People are getting more creative with their throws and are pushing back on the resale market. I'm glad you got that money for that ziplock but they are crazy to pay that price

I save them.
When I get 24 dollars worth, I'm gonna buy a convenience store from the Indians.
Might take a while.
