Time to move on from Matt, regardless of the cost to fire him

It’s just not working out. LSU made a mistake and it’s time to pay him and move on. LSU will not fold if they have to pay that man his remaining

They don’t have a choice. If you coached 12-Year Old All-Stars and had these numbers the parents of the kids would petition to keep you from entering the parish.

This is the dumbest shite ever. He’s not owed any of this in a lump sum. It’s paid out over the remaining term.
Make the right hire and it’ll make enough to pay him out over the next 36 months.
You actually can’t afford not to fire him. There is a real risk of basketball operating at or near beak even next year if you keep him.

Yeah, plus he can either quit coaching or once he signs elsewhere, we deduct that new contract from the buyout. Mitigation clause

I have played basketball and then coached it my entire life. It’s mathematically impossible for LSU to be this bad when we have Top 25 Recruiting Classes and Transfers. We get more talent than most of the SEC schools that have more wins each year than we do.
It’s coaching. His style doesn’t match the way we play down South and it’ll never work
