Scarborough says basketball staff could be gutted except for McMahon .

Listening to tiger bait last night and Mike said he’s hearing scuttlebutt the entire basketball staff would be let go but McMahon would be back .
His reasoning was firing McMahon and his staff , hiring a new coach and staff plus money for NIL would cost around 30 million dollars and LSU isn’t willing to do that .

Every coach that’s ever been fired at LSU was preceded by weeks of discussion about how LSU can’t afford it.

NIL and CoachMc are costs regardless whether he’s retained or let go. The only additional cost is paying for the new coach and staff. The rest is already baked into next season. Not sure how that’s so difficult to understand.
Also, as has been stated ad nauseam, CoachMc’s buyout is not a lump sum.
Sounds like regurgitation of the same old false narratives.

It is amazing how many chances McMahon has been afforded. When will it get through the heads of the brass that McMahon will never work out here? What a joke our program has become. I told myself that any day now we’ll get some BS press release from LSU that McMahon will somehow be retained. I know Scarborough is not official but I hope it’s not heading in that direction.
As long as McMahon is here, I unapologetically hope that we lose every game by 30+.

So do they think that they are going to get assistants for FREE?.. it will cost them BIG time buying players and coaches to come to LSU…who is going to want to come here for another season or two?..dude’s not cut out for major college basketball.. he will never succeed in the SEC conference …cut ties with this JERK now...it’s a piss poor run state of affairs at the moment…no need to drag this corpse around anymore...

LSU never equips the men's basketball coach with support that a program at it's level should get but at this point McMahon's dye is cast. If they're going to cheap out and keep him for next season then it should be a stripped down bare bones "Major League" like operation.
