Indiana is starting LHP Tony Neubeck (Mizzou transfer). We faced him his freshman year in 2022: LINK

Notre Dame is throwing LHP Caden Crowell.

UCF is TBA but Camden Wicker from Wofford threw for them last sunday.

UCF could possibly come back with the guy that threw on Tues against Miami maybe for a short stint

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t LSU face Wicker in game 1 of the Chapel Hill Regional in 2024?

Full circle moment for Wicker vs LSU. We faced him in the elimination game in Chapel Hill in ‘24.

He went 4IP that day, giving up 7H and 3ER, no walks, 6Ks. Jake Brown went 2-2 against him

Yeah.

And then Moscona reported he committed to LSU because Moscona didn't know the difference between Wicker and Cowan. Because Moscona is an idiot.

we did.

I thought the name sounded familiar and I looked him up earlier today.

I probably remembered it more from the transfer portal than 2024

I added info about Indiana's starter to my earlier post. He's a 5th year senior who had TJ a couple years ago. We faced him as a freshman at Mizzou.

I'd imagine UCF going TBA is why Jay did. His not giving them a competitive advantage theory. I would think we likely see Schmidt again. He needs to continue getting starter innings imo. The potential is too great and not far off to not let him get as many innings as possible to figure out the consistency. If by SEC play it isn't figured out then you have to make some moves.

Dont know why we have a TBA for Sunday just roll out Schmidt and see what he can do.

Evans chance to stay in rotation. Performance like last week and he is back to the Pen.

Not far off? Consistently fell behind overmatched hitters who until this series had not practiced outside. Unable to spot fastball or land off speed consistently. He may get there. Who knows. But he has further to go than almost there.

Jay Johnson pretty much said in his interview with Mascona yesterday that he only put TBD because UCF was TBD. Blamed it on his competitive nature.

He has work to do but for some people it could be one little thing that makes it all click. The K numbers tell the story on the potential. Just need to get the consistency and the best way to do that is innings.

I'm taking into account that his fall and spring stats combined he threw 25 innings with 37K/12BB against what I would consider pretty good hitters.
