Good on them but doubt students GAF. The teachers will not punish with bad grades

LOL, that was where I went my Freshman year in in the early 90s. Back then, there was a fair population of military parents for the student body.

If you’re going to hold a walk out regardless of why, expect a consequence. If you think the cause is worthy of the consequence. Life lesson number 1. I’m all for protesting but if you do it outside the rules things happen.
1992 My sister had a protest over dress code. My mom helped make the signs but made sure she was in class by the bell. The other kids lingered and got suspended. When they tried to suspend my sister she proved she did not break any rules.

They probably have school policy that will not allow the students to be penalized fully when it comes to grades.
