That along with the shift working against him made what should have been a dominant outing into a terrible one. We need his confidence up, he's got some of the best velocity in the bullpen.

This will help him prepare for Jeff Head in conference play.

Yea he executed perfectly on the first batter. Shifted towards 3rd base and he puts a fastball on a righties hands. Just happened to get fisted away from the shift. I think most will gloss over that

Velocity gets you a scholarship, getting people out gets you to the next level. You get squeezed sometimes, gotta be able to work around that. Grant will continue to improve.

who was it this past Sunday,I beleive, that looked like he was playing soft toss. that was the most effortless delivery ive ever seen in baseball. ive never seen anything like that before. it was a transfer or a freshman

I think Grant has the potential to be a contributor this year. DJ Primeaux on the other hand......brutal!

Was checking his stat line. His ERA is so high my brain didn’t register it. I actually thought it was missing until I realized 54.00 was the ERA!

Teams either get on base or score or both when primeaux is in. I don’t even know how he’s still on the team.

Did he though? It was 1 pitch on 1 batter. The rest were questionable. Unless you were sitting behind home plate, you can’t tell. There was no angle for TV.
The ump was consistently calling strikes at the top of the zone. Go there with the ball

He’ll be fine. Sometimes LSU pitchers will benefit from bad umps, sometimes they won’t. Same with the shift.

I was more pissed that the guy was nowhere near his fastball and we call an offspeed pitch that he handles.

Ump had a tight zone, you knew it was going to be a long night after the first 2 pitches of the game
