LSU doesn't really benefit from firing MM during the season. It's over just let it melt down and build it back up with someone else.

If McChicken wasn’t fired after that embarrassing Arkansas game he’s not getting fired until after the season

I don’t know how he survived that

Does any school really benefit from firing a coach mid-season in basketball? Probably not. However, it sends a msg that "We are F'ing tired of this BS!"

I wouldn’t mind hiring Tang. He’s better than McMahon

Well, I guess it was still better than the Texas game last season. When a run-of-the-mill Texas team came into Baton Rouge and beat LSU by 31.

In back-to-back seasons in the "Deaf Dome," he has led LSU to 31 & 29 point home losses.

That'll happen when you have a meltdown on social media, eviscerating your players, and then get roasted for it by all the talking heads on the sports shows.

When your are a mild-mannered coach who is liked by many of the power brokers at your school, they wait to fire you after the season.

But we can always hope.

Tang is a clown. KS has given him hefty NIL budgets, and he has squandered them the last couple of seasons.

MM is nice so we need to do him a favor and put him out of his misery before he finishes the year with 7 more double digit losses

Maybe if fans break out the paper bags it will be enough to move Verge

Yet another program that demonstrates they have standards when it comes to their basketball program.

Can’t say the same for LSU at the moment. We’re running a charity with an awesome 16-50 SEC record.

K-state wasn’t going to put up with fans wearing paper bags

Idk why this keeps being said, but it is totally false.

Right now, nobody gives a shite about the program. You still have 6 games left.

If you fire him now, maybe Tasmin or David Patrick go on a run. At the very least, fans will show up for the next game out of curiosity.

But as it stands, the attendance next game out will be about 500, as people have thrown in the towel on MM

Tang publicly called the players an embarrassment. He lost the team and it essentially set up a me or them scenario where an in-season mutiny was likely. Plus, their fan base still cares enough to force a mid-season firing.

LSU's doesn't. No one is paying attention to McMahon. The majority checked in in January, saw another conference schedule collapsed and quickly tuned out. At this point there no compelling reason to fire McMahon. The fans and donors aren't mad enough to force it. They moved on from anger to apathy

How can this possibly be?? I was told this team was different and would be a NCAA tourney lock after their preconference tune up games...

Elite 8 run while we haven’t even gotten close to sniffing the NCAAT

Our best showing was losing a first round NIT game to a team that we already beat

LSU doesn’t need another buyout and no one gives a shite about basketball. They haven’t been worth a frick in quite some time, even with the pear at the helm. No reason to fire him

He coached better last night than he did either game during the last homestand. This season still could produce another win or two before his inevitable dismissal
