Can we just get this out of the way before baseball starts....

We might drop a midweek game, to a team we "should never lose to" to a team who "we shouldn't even play"....maybe even to a team in Louisiana who is inferior in every position. We will absolutely lose SEC games, might even lose a few series...or, God forbid, get swept on a weekend when the bats go cold and we can't seem to figure out how to play the baby Monster in left field (see Auburn last year). Can we all take a collective breath now and say together "that's baseball" and "it's not football"... ok, now that we have done that. PLAY BALL! GEAUX TIGERS! Bring home #9!

It will be miserable here unless we go undefeated. The board has added a ton of idiots with Kiffin and the transfer portal fireworks. The idiots that were here will continue to be idiots, and the new idiots will likely out-idiot them.

Everything you said is correct. However we should also remember that someone saying “I would like player x to get more AB’s” or “I would like to see player x get some starts” doesn’t mean that we think Jay is a bad coach or that it’s a bad team.

It’s natural and normal to question unorthodox actions. Like pitch selection, lineups, high leverage pitcher selection. That’s just baseball talk. No coach or player is infallible. We should keep in mind that Jay and yeskie will make decisions in the season with the anticipation that it reaps benefits in Omaha. So perhaps we should aspire to not make sweeping conclusions about the coaches, players, and end of season results before that time comes.
