The district is said to be a "mixed-use sports and entertainment destination" planned for the Bridgeland community near Cypress. The full project is planned to be 83 acres. Twenty-two of those acres will be for the Texans' "state-of-the-art global headquarters and training complex.”

So, is this where they are gonna build a new stadium as well when Houston won't fix up NRG?

It is a possibility but this will be much like The Star for the Dallas Cowboys.

Traffic is already terrible out here for being 30 miles from downtown. Maybe the Texans can throw some money towards getting Greenhouse opened up to 290 quicker than they are planning.

Judge Lina Hidalgo did tell ABC13 that the project will cost taxpayers $150 million, despite the county's budget deficit of more than $100 million. Hidalgo said that money won't fund the facility itself, but rather the new infrastructure needed for the area, as well as any public buildings that will need to be constructed. Commissioners stated that some of the funds will come from the special tax district, which collects property taxes in the area for future projects. The Texans said the project will cover 83 acres and include a 22-acre headquarters and training facility for the team. The Texans claim the district will generate $34 billion in long-term economic impact and create 17,000 jobs across the region

$34 billion?, what are they opening another area 29 out there for cj to make it rain?

Looking at a map and remembering when 6 was the outer loop. And much more recent trips on roads that have not been improved since I left decades ago. NW Freeway comes to mind.

So glad to be gone from the stress of Houston Traffic.

Nobody is putting anything new where NRG is. That area is a toilet. Because it’s near the med center it gets glossed over. But if you aren’t going to a hospital or a game, there is zero reason to be there.
