The amounts of money per patient clearly shows the state was in on the grift.

If you provide higher levels of care for home patients or hospice in Missouri on an ongoing basis, that’s going to trigger an inspection and audit. To not audit any of this means the state was fine with the money coming in.

It’s enabling fraud on purpose. Anyone who says otherwise isn’t a serious person.

Additionally, the provider providing the housing as well is an illegal inducement. You can’t house someone as part of home healthcare. That’s the point of home healthcare. To provide care in a less expensive setting. The fact they could pay rent out of the amount they were getting for home healthcare lays bare the fraud.

I hope that young lady gets the help she needs eventually. I'm infuriated right now for her. Hopefully her family can step up.

Relax everyone. She was evicted from her lease but I worked in situations like this in Florida, where our funds were likely 1/2 or maybe 1/4 of what Minnesota likely had available. This was over dramatized for the news (shocking). Some other agency was certainly involved to assist her, I highly doubt she was sleeping on the street that night.

Its very unfortunate for her that day, but at some point you gotta draw the line and take action.
