At least this would be an answer with a Constitutional basis, but too many Democrats have already tried to federalize elections to use this argument. So, instead they blather on about minorities somehow being less likely to have ID, which I find preposterous in 2026 America.

I show my id everytime I vote I got no problem with it. I have a problem with the save act. I think real ids are just govt over reached and will wait to they absolutely make me have one. I have a passport to travel.

Not everyone can get an ID. A homeless person cannot get an ID with no address for example. A person who lives somewhere but has no way to prove it, same problem.

Even if it were true, the fact that some rare situation might make voting for someone somewhere difficult doesn’t mean that we should not have a voter ID requirement.
