Whose got your vote? I say it’s a tie between Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer.

I thinks it’s Dilfer by a good margin.

Dilfer for overall career.
Roethlisberger for in-game only.

Dilfer. Anyone else is a distant second.

I’d also say Russell Wilson was propped up a lot by his defense. If Seattle didn’t have that generational defense, I don’t think he wins one. The same is true of course for Dilfer, Brad Johnson, and would y’all also say Jim McMahon?

Career-wise, he was an all time great, but the 2015 version of Peyton Manning is as bad as any of them.

Jeff Hostetler or Doug Williams

The correct answer is Peyton Manning in 2015.
9 TD, 17 INT QBR of 44.2

2015 manning was pretty bad

Very revisionist based on his last couple seasons. Early Russ was throwing nuke bombs down field and making teams look silly in escaping the pocket.
Defense definitely led the way his early couple seasons, but calling him the worst Super Bowl QB is just kind of silly

I'll toss in Mark Rypien.

Probably Peyton Manning the 2nd time he won it
You can make an Argument for Jalen Hurts career wise

Uhh what? He had a suspect career overall but in 1991 he came in 4th in MVP voting.

I'm pretty sure he had the worst season rating for any full time starting QB that won the SB

LOL he's made the Pro Bowl 3 times as many times as Dilfer and is nearing Dilfer's career passing yards in 6 seasons to Dilfer's 13. So no to that one...

as far as a SB winning QB that played FAR above his career mean when comparing the title game vs regular season/career stats -
Phil Simms - career 55% completion % and 74 QB rating
and then he did this -
he was an average QB that won a Super Bowl - just like Trent Dilfer -
Phil Simms - career 55% completion % and 74 QB rating
and then he did this -
quote:
Super Bowl XXI: Holds the record for the highest completion percentage (88%) and highest passer rating (150.9) in a Super Bowl with a minimum of 14 pass attempts.
he was an average QB that won a Super Bowl - just like Trent Dilfer -

I had to look up teh 1991 passing stats and holy shite was the QB play terrible back then

Doug Williams had a helluva Super Bowl though. Dude put John Elway in his place.
