My mother was a nurse from the late 40's through the mid 80's, she warned me when they deregulated the insurance companies and healthcare what was coming. She said back when she entered nursing school it was more of a calling to service than a 40hr/week job. Of course prior to the 1980's most hospitals were affiliated with a Christian denomination.

I suspected systemic fraud when I saw the multiple hospices with single owners. They’d have to have pharmaceuticals in their patients’ charts so you’d have to have invoices so you’d have to recruit pharmacies to be in on it. Probably a DME company, too.

It is worth diving into the particulars on the DoJ/FBI site. They took over two years to take down this ring. It was good work, and will really open your eyes to how these types do "business".
ETA: They even arrested some of them whilst they were trying to flee the country to their home countries.

Tim Walz just breathed a big sigh of relief. It is crazy the amount of corruption and illegality that is unfolding. But we knew it was coming.
