The argument was that undocumented migrants were putting downward pressure on unskilled/low-skilled wages. By removing them, companies would have to raise their wages to attract domestic workers, directly benefiting native-born US citizens. Why are we adding H-2Bs instead of telling companies to raise their wages if they want labor?
