Gotta give the Left credit, they know how to play the long game

Take over public schools via teachers unions and Department of Education
Already easily endocrinated high school graduates go to college where they fall under the influence of leftist professors (McCarthy was right about Communists in universities in the 50s), thereby infecting the non-STEM professions they go into (journalism, teaching, sociology, government, JR).
All the while law schools trend left, resulting in activist lawyers, who become activist judges.
This won't be reversed peacefully.

Fundamentally, the left represents change. Change is inevitable.
The right represents institutions. All institutions, even good ones, crumble eventually.
This is just a cycle. Everything will crumble. Lots of war and death will create strong folks who create new institutions. Those will eventually be brought down and the cycle will continue.

I agree with the OP...just dont know if I'd really call it the long game...in many cases it is descendants of the same people but in some ways its just also an ideology that is always going attract those who seek security over freedom and are fooled into taking things too far.

While this is true, it will only make the relatively short period of time that President Trump and his team will have had to not only defeat the currently entrenched political enemies unbelievably impressive, but the relative hyperspeed at which they will have done it when compared to the decades-long campaign launched by the Communists.

I've said for years, when you own the institutions you have the entrenched power.
I can remember several heated discussions/debates with some of my liberal acquaintances over systemic racism. I told them if they have an issue with perceived systemic racism they needed to take it up with their Democratic Socialist Overlords because they control every major institution.
