Horrible news. Very sad situation. I saw videos on instagram and it was not good.

Man, that’s terrible news…the worst day of his family’s lives.

That sucks.
I have a buddy who was a motor cop in BR for many years and he said escorting funerals was 100% the most dangerous detail on a bike.
RIP.

Funeral processions are an unnecessary and unsafe traffic problem and should be illegal.

He had two teenage kids that my children played baseball and softball with growing up at Delta playground in Metairie. Good, solid people.
I believe his son's birthday was yesterday as well. Horrible thing.
He had just joined the motorcycle division last year after 15 years with JPSO.
Apparently the car that hit him was an UBER driver that was trying to get around the funeral procession.
Send some prayers up for his family. They will need it.

No they should just proceed down the road as I do in the opposite direction. I'm going to be cremated and don't expect anyone to pull over for my ashes.

The funeral industry as a whole is a scam and shady as frick. Nobody wants to be pressured to buy casket upgrades when they are in the middle of grieving the loss of a family member.

Uber has quickly become filled with former cab drivers that drive like absolute assholes and think this is the Middle East.
I’m sure he was hauling arse to get to the airport and not respecting any of the laws.

I fully believe that, for some reason we have decided that funerals require cops on bikes flooring it from intersection to intersection to abruptly halt ongoing traffic so a dead body can arrive uninterrupted

When I’m gone, feed me to the swamp buzzards. Take the funeral casket or cremation cheese and spend it on a crawfish boil and flat of Busch and share funny stories about how retarded I was and it’s amazing I lived as long as I did.
