45 years old, feet hurt(no pics). I just walk around the neighborhood, general man activity. What's a comfortable shoe rec? And a happy Friday to you all.

Go to a specialty running store. Shoes, like cars, are not the same. They serve different purposes for different people, different gaits, different goals, etc.
Brooks, Saucony, Nike, New Balance, Hoka, etc. all make good shoes (as well as others).
Toyota, Ford, Chevy all make good cars.
But the Corolla is not like the Corvette or the F-150 or the 4-Runner.
Oh, and anything but On-Cloud. They're not good for anyone but Try Hards

Brooks Ghost have been my go to for years now. I have 2 pair of the 17 model right now. I walk quite a bit and do a handful of 5k races each year.
You should determine which heel drop and specifications are best for you, though.

Go to a specialty running store.
Also important to get re-fitted every couple years to see if your needs change.
FYI fitting is part of the process. It isn't "extra".

Fleet Feet
My go-to since I was in college. Been fortunate enough to usually live in cities that have them (at least when I lived in the US).

There are plenty of options here's what worked for my wife (no pics) and I.
Wife - Good Feet Inserts. It was expensive however she's not had pain in 2 years.
Me - Daily stretching and Knees Over Toes (3 times per week). Wide toe box shoes - I wear Xeros. Dress shoes are EE. I go barefoot all the time. Toe spacers.

Try the brand Altra, the wide toe box makes all the difference in the world. They are a great running shoe and comparable in cost to other high end brands.

Walking. ON Cloud. legit.

I currently wear Brooks Ghost Max 3, but I was thinking of trying the Altras because of the 0mm heel-to-toe drop.

I walk 2.5 miles daily (weather permitting), last year I logged over 650 miles.
I usually buy New Balance but spent a little extra to get these, they are suppose to last

I second Altra. I love the wide toe box. My New Balances are pretty great too.

Asics are the only running shoes I wear. I have a pair of the Gel Nimbus and the Gel Cumulus.

ASICS have always been my go to.
