Anyone else have a concern with Verge and his commitment to baseball?

I have been happy with all he has done for football. He has knocked it out of the park there. But hearing Jay's concern about lsu needing more of a commitment to stay atop the league makes me nervous. I really hope Verge fixes this and gives baseball the attention it deserves.

The current "commitment" to baseball in regards to the revenue sharing was not set up by Verge. It was set up by some short fat cocksucker.
But yes, Verge needs to make sure our baseball coach is getting his fair share of the rev sharing pie. We have roughly the same percentage allocation that Tennessee does, and we see how that helped them retain their coach.

We just won 2 out of the last 3 national championships. Relax.
LSU has always been committed to Baseball.
Step back from the ledge.

LSU Baseball will be just fine. They have plenty of commitment, we just won two nattys in the span of 3-4 years, donors and admin will continue to provide the necessary support to continue this run.

CJJ could have his pay cut…… and he’s going nowhere……nowhere. He knows he’s at the pinnacle. That’s called leverage. And Free enterprise rules the world

And yet we weren't able to recruit in the transfer portal in the same way that we have in recent years. Still got a great class but not the same.
I'll trust what Jay is saying over you, the commitment to LSU baseball was not there under Woodward. Now I have no reason to believe that can't change under Verge, and I hope that it does

We didn't need to kill the portal class like some past years, I swear some of you tards are ridiculous.

No program, even football, has produced at the level of baseball.
I hope they do whatever is needed to stay at the top!

I think he wants a massive update/upgrade to The Box along with his new indoor. It was outdated when built and is now 15+ years later.

Did that have anything to do with why Vitello left? I feel like that's not at all why he left and it's being a little disingenuous to suggest so. Didn't they just pump a bunch of money into a new stadium and other facilities at Tennessee?
Seems it was him wanting to challenge himself rather than anything related to % of profit sharing.

Where are you morons coming up with this stuff?
LSU baseball is FULLY SUPPORTED by the administration.
Quit acting like poor ol' Jay can't even pay for batting practice baseballs.

Jay was not happy with the way the revenue sharing was initially set up. That's a fact.

Jay wants more revunue share
Jay wants a new indoor facility
Jay wants this
Jay wants that
Oh yeah, Jay is the highest paid coach in college baseball
Pick your battles. LSU just won 2 of the last 3 national titles. Something tells me LSU baseabll isn't underfunded.

You can feel how you like, but I'm not speculating.

LSU Baseball is NOT underfunded. Not at all. And I have listened to every interview JJ has given for a couple of years now and he has not said nor has he intimated LSU Baseball is underfunded.
LSU Baseball runs a deficit because of our staff salaries and for no other reason. We broke even or maybe had a small surplus when our baseball staff was smaller and less well-paid.
JJ made one public comment about universities having to pick and choose what sports it will fund/emphasize. Some folks are reading too much into that one offhand comment.
As a longtime baseball (and MBB, WBB, Fball) season ticket holder, I want LSU Baseball to flourish and I support a bigger and more well-paid staff for baseball. But baseball in the NCAA is a smalltime sport supported (like LSU does) by very few teams. It will never produce a media package like MBB does and WBB is moving to in 2026-2028.
