Republicans need to call for every possible investigation into Ilhan Omar incident

I have a suspicion Omar and her team are going to try and let this become some mythical incident of 2026.
People are going to be like: "We need to examine your clothing to determine the nature of the substance dud had in a syringe!"
Omar: "Oh. I tossed those clothes into the trash. Boy this was a wild night! Glad I made it through that in one piece! We can't let these MAGA extremists keep doing this shite."

It's a federal crime to attack a sitting member of congress. Let Kash have a stab at it and see what he finds.

Cut off federal funding, investigate and arrest the fraudsters, and deport illegal aliens. It’s pretty simple, no need to lose focus on some BS staged Ilhan Omar nonsense.

Like the time Kamala "almost died" from the "pipe bomb"

Republicans won't do it because they're worthless. Trump can though. And he can direct Kash to investigate like a motherfricker. Hopefully that's exactly what he does. Leave no stone unturned.

You can but we know that’ll inevitably go nowhere and the same dopes will start up again with “nothing ever happens”, rinse repeat.
Given we’ve seen this cycle countless times, why is it folks never question the source of these dubious claims? It’s the only link in the chain that’s just blindly accepted on its face.
The influencers, the grifters, the deceptive video editors, AI slop creators, the internet lawyers w absolutely woeful legal takes that sound pretty to simpletons, why do these people ALWAYS get a pass??

Because they are not elected members of Congress.
Democrat supporters were quick to jump to the defense of Jussie Smollett and they said he was a private citizen who was unfairly being attacked by his critics and conservative media.
So that Smollett story turned out to be total BS. Why did he get a pass from so many people?

I don’t think he does. At all. Career hasn’t exactly taken off that I know of and his reputation will probably follow him forever…
That’s also not in any way a legitimate reason to excuse people you know mislead/lie. Even if you directly agree with them (“on your team”).

So you don’t have a problem with the FBI investigating this incident, right? If it’s proven he attacked Omar on his own, he should go to jail. If it’s proven it was a set up and hoax, she and her team need to be outed and held accountable as well.
I don’t think that is unreasonable

Let’s see, you have a Somali member of Congress on the brink of being exposed for massive fraud (fake winery, involvement in daycare/other nonexistent businesses fraud). She needs a HUGE deflection and a way to create sympathy for herself among the dolts. The sad thing for her is the credibility of her deflection isn’t there. Middle school kids could have come up with a more plausible event.

In a vacuum, no. No problem.
But the suspicion of a hoax in the first place is unreasonable and baseless. Internet inunendo and Twitter slop don’t have legitimate merit and the FBI knows that. Weird leftwing accounts run the exact same playbook w the shooter in PA who almost took out Trump (suggesting w no eivdence it was a hoax).
And again, when it inevitably comes back with no evidence of any kind of hoax, what do you say to the people who refuse to believe anything else anyway? Why aren’t the people that made up all that goofy shite in the first place unfollowed/shunned for lying?
They’re the only group that NEVER has to be accountable. That’s a real problem longterm.

You’re exactly who I’m talking about.
If “on the brink of being exposed for massive fraud” never happens will you admit you’re wrong or come back with “deep state” or some other excuse? That’s an honest question.
Follow up, why do you never even consider the possibility that the people who told you about “massive fraud” didn’t tell you the truth?? Like why is that just instantly ruled out as a possibility?

I don’t think the FBI is going to base an investigation into a Congressman being attacked on internet rumors. I would assume the FBI and Capitol Police (who I think handles congressional investigations) have a protocol in place for these situations, including online threats.
And which group would that be?

I listed them in my initial post, to give you an idea.

Great. Throw the book at her.
But if that turns out to be wrong and investigations don’t find any legitimate credible evidence, as in can hold up to the judicial standard (NOT garbage from internet sleuths), what’s your rationale?

The easiest explanation is that a drunk idiot gave her a squirt of doe scent.
But a non-fatal "attack" less than 48 hrs after the fake winery story broke has to make even the most rational and non -partisan raise an eyebrow.

If a thorough investigation is done that exonerates her, I will absolutely admit I’m wrong.

It’s not instantly ruled out. Should I believe that the documents that I’ve seen posted about the winery are fabricated? Your point isn’t lost on me. Follow up, after everything has come out, do you still believe that George Floyd was deliberately murdered?
