Its just a matter of time before he does become either a HC or NFL OC.
Enjoy him while you can

We’re just gonna have him for one season aren’t we

Yep. Enjoy the season. Better look for a replacement soon. Maybe Cookie can become the OC.

Certainly not worried if he leaves LSU - he seems great, but his only success has been with Lane. CLK is the offense. Sounds like Lane is grooming Joe Cox to take over as OC when Weiss does leave.

Weiss and Baker will not be at LSU 2027.

If he’s choosing college over pro, what’s his motivation? I guess championships. If lsu is highly successful the first few years and he helps win a championship, I can see him leaving for the pros. Jmho

quote:I’m good with that. If other schools are offering him to be their HC or if NFL teams come calling, then it means he’s done a fantastic job as LSU’s OC. Hopefully him and Baker can both be on their way to promotions elsewhere next January as LSU is wrapping up a championship season.

He left Lane one time and failed miserably . He came running back to Lane and Lane re-hired him
I will never be worried about a OC as long as Lane is Head coach

Probably salary and job security. The average NFL coordinator makes a million. The Eagles were paying Kellen Moore 2.5. LSU is paying Weiss 2.5 and he’s signed through 2028 and it’s fully guaranteed.

Kiffin is all in on year one.
He knows if he wins and wins big next year it will make everything easier.
Whether it’s finding players or finding coaches.

Well yeah he’s 32 years old
His play calling was phenomenal in the playoffs

He kind of looks like Mark Wahlberg in this photo.

Since we know he's sticking around now, can we start spelling his name correctly?
