I have been getting quite a few videos come across my feed all claiming to be the best BBQ in Austin. I have tried Terry Black's and LA BBQ. But lately I have been seeing posts about interstellar BBQ and KG. What are your favorites?

Leroy and Lewis

Salt lick is fine but not on par with places like La BBQ, Franklin, L&L.

The Salt Lick in Driftwood is very good, Franklin BBQ is as well. If you have the time, head south to Lockhart. Terry Black’s, Kreuz Market, Smitty’s, & Black’s all have good bbq too!

Leroy and Lewis.

Interstellar is very good, but the menus is not always traditional Texas Q.

People are raving about Parish, but I haven't been yet.

The smoked and braised beef cheeks at LeRoy & Lewis is my favorite bite in all of Texas BBQ.

Have eaten at Terry Black's, LA BBQ, and Interstellar. IMO, both were better than Interstellar. Have also had Micklethwait's. Would rank it behind the others.

Have not been to Franklin's, L&L, or others in Austin.

Franklin is the most popular.
Interstellar is the favorite of many.

KG had a different take and it's worth a try.

If we’re talking brisket (and pork ribs), Franklin is the king.

Leroy & Lewis, Parish BBQ, and Terry Blacks round out the top tier for me.

Interstellar, KG, Distant Relatives are all good choices that can put a unique spin on things

You can avoid the long lines and get their brisket at Loro.

Eh not really. Aaron Franklin is a partner in Loro, but their brisket product is NOT the same as his.

The best way to cheat the system at Franklin is to pre-order a large order.

Have only eaten 1X at their Austin joint. It was top-shelf in every respect. And I think most BBQ afficionadoes share my experience.

All 3 times were at the Austin location. All 3 times, it was terrible. It was also $70 my last time for Mac and Cheese, Pinto Beans (Which tasted like Bush), one half link of sausage, 2 of the smallest pork ribs Id ever seen, 1/2 lb of sliced brisket that was dry as hell and a Shiner Bock.

you go to Salt Lick for the ambiance which is way better than standing in line with a bunch of neck beard puds at Franklin's. As stated above, do the to go order at Franklins and walk past all those guys in line at 10:30am.
