Why not just stay in the hotel and pound a pint of vodka?

The carnage on hwy 71 to i10 after the 2021 storm was an absolute scene. I would wait until the afternoon and you should be good

I’ve driven hours in white out blizzards on I-94. Stop being a drama queen.

I have two little kids man. No need to be an a-hole when people are just asking for help.

If you have two little kids, how is driving even an option? Especially if you getting rattled by rather innocent message board comments.

Minnesota has a road conditions website (which I look at constantly this time of year). Texas probably does.

If you would have mentioned the original post, you'd have hundreds of DV.

That 90 minute drive, will, at best, turn into a four hour drive. God forbid you slide into a ditch, how long would you be stuck there with two cold, hungry kids? Not to mention, it's not exactly flat before you get to I-10.

The sun isn't really out, so whatever shite is on the roads in Bastrop, Austin, etc. is going to be there for hours. If this is the day you need to return them to your ex-husband, the court and the sheriff will understand if they don't go back until tomorrow or Tuesday. School was canceled on Monday in most of Houston by Friday afternoon.

In Sugar Land. No ice on the ground, a little bit of water this morning at 7am not dried up from overnight. No ice at all and we aren't going to have any.

At least school here was canceled on Friday over this. Good grief. On the north side of Houston maybe they had ice. Schools apparently are happy for anything that allows them to close for a day. They could have made the call today instead of on Friday morning.
