I accompanied my son to his First Reconciliation mass. Then we went out and had a nice lunch. After that we had a birthday party for one of his classmates. We got home around 6 and put up some Mardi Gras decorations and now him and I are watching Stranger Things.

You know what I didn’t do? Wake up, strap up and decide to frick with federal law enforcement. You want to start a root cause analysis? The left’s decades long all out assault on the nuclear family would be a good place to begin.

A 37yr old professorial shouldn’t have time to frick with federal agents doing their job. He should have a wife. Maybe a kid or two. He should be in the throws of child rearing.

No clue. Most 2nd grades in the Nola area have done their First Reconciliation in the past 2 weeks. First communion is in May.

45 here, we don’t have kids. Slept in, went for a run, ran some errands, took a nap, watched Steal on Prime, now watching UFC.

Didn't get killed today either.

I rode (and still riding) out the iceacolypse at the maw-in-law’s. Day drank, cooked a gumbo, at king cake, watched Home Improvement and Walker: Texas Ranger, and read books and played “throw the ball!” with my 2YO little girl.

Life is good. To hell with what’s going on outside these doors right now.

Leftists enjoyed a similar day to you. It's just that protests and insurrections are their church.

I’d suggest ditching the mass and take your son to a conservative Protestant church

I’m in New Orleans. Our Archbishop has been Gregory Aymond since ‘09.

I cannot even begin to understand the thought process of someone who listens to a Democrat politician or TV pundit read a scripted rant and think, "He's right! I'm gonna go out and commit violence and try to martyr myself!!!"

How does one determine what is a “conservative Protestant church”?

I’m not recalling where it happened the first time, but if you have a problem with my well-intentioned suggestion, feel free to speak up

I usually start with looking at their website to see what denomination they are affiliated with and what their statement of faith is. Do they have women “pastors” on staff? Do they openly support LGBTQ sin? Do they use modern Marxist buzz words?

If their focus is the gospel of Jesus Christ and not social justice, that is a good start. Look for a statement of faith and compare it to the historical creeds, and the confessions of the Reformation.
