Even if it does it should be enough for McMahon to be exited.

go through the schedule and tell me what you think their conference record will end up.

These are the remaining games. Where do you see 7 more wins on the schedule?
We should beat Mississippi State and South Carolina, though with McMahon, you can't count any game as a win. We should've beat USCe the first time we played them and ended up losing by 10. Regardless, for conversation purposes, let's count those 2 games as wins. That gets you to 3 conference wins. Which means you need 5 of the last 9 to get to 8 wins.
Of those last 9, Ole Miss could be a win. That's 4 conference wins. Oklahoma could possibly be a win, that's 5. Maybe Texas can be a win, which would get you to 6. Perhaps you steal a game at home against one of the better teams left and that gets you to 7 conference wins.
It's hard for me to see 7 more conference wins with the remaining schedule. It's more likely they drop a game they're supposed to win than winning a game they shouldn't.
ETA - even if they do get to 8 wins, I'm not sure that gets them in this year with the conference being down. They'd have to knock off 2 ranked teams left on the schedule to have a chance at it.

Arky shot 39% from the FT line and still won the game. I think people might be reading too much into todays moral victory.

He’s won 4 SEC road games…in 3.5 years. To expect him to win more than 1 (if that) the rest of the way would be a BIG trend-breaker.
For whatever reason McMahon always matches up well with Calipari. That doesn’t mean today is a precursor for success. It will be interesting to see what happens vs MSU. Jans has owned McMahon. 5-0 with an average margin of victory close to 20 points

My thoughts exactly.

If they play as well as did today or vs Kentucky at home, I could potentially see the Tigers winning all their remaining games except @ Tennessee and @ Auburn. Then again, McMahon has shown an uncanny knack for losing games that you can only look up and loudly say, WTF!?--- South Carolina at home-- Tigers were full apoplectic for the first 15 minutes of that game, against a real bad team.
Posted on 1/24/26 at 9:20 pm to lsutiger2
We were losing to South Carolina by 30 lol.

LOL. I think we sneak one more win in.

Losing to the Cocks and a buzzer beater to Kentucky did this team in. They won’t recover from that.

No 9-9 might but we had an awful OOC schedule so we need to 500 in comference

Let's rely on common sense here, not just primitive feelings. There was promise in LSU's performance at Arkansas, like we witnessed earlier vs Kentucky. Now Dedan Thomas Jr adds a dimension of excellence on the court-- his adroit legerdemain on the hardwood was a sight to behold and he will only improve in the remaining regular season schedule.
That being said, these Tigers are above Ole Miss, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Miss St on Kenpom and NCAA basketball rankings. I believe the team will win games vs these opponents. And the rematches vs Arkansas and Aggies at home now look favorable. And LSU will likely steal one or two more games-- Georgia and Alabama at home can be achieved. Normalcy will once again be restored in the PMAC.

Looking back through this season YTD and every prior McSeason, you can’t say we should beat any team in the conference.

I guess you edited your post after actually reading the next few words after what you originally quoted.
