This has been a long time in coming.
The Canadian government, not necessarily the fine citizens of Canada, have been screwing with US trade agreements since the nafta days.
The worst was Trudeau and Chrystia Freedland’s non participation with Lighthizer in the crafting of the USMCA agreement during Trumps first term. Huge honking’ mistake.
Mexico has already ratified its own unilateral agreement with the US … Canada has no more trilateral partners to lean on or hide behind. Canada is naked in the breeze.

I haven't purchased a Canadian product since 1980 when I gave up pancakes and waffles, so no need for their syrup.

Carney can not technically nor legally be "governor" of Canada. (Has this been explained by anybody??) It's one more ongoing LARP no one seems to want to challenge.
