If I ever have kids, I’d seriously consider sending them to Spain or Portugal. Not as a political statement — just looking at quality of life.

Crime is way lower, kids actually walk to school and play outside without everything revolving around fear and lockdown drills. Healthcare isn’t tied to your employer or bankrupting families, and the cost of living is reasonable enough that parents aren’t permanently stressed.

The culture is very family-oriented, work doesn’t completely consume life, and kids grow up bilingual with real independence instead of being glued to screens. That just seems like a healthier way to raise kids, regardless of politics.

I was just in Portugal and absolutely loved it. A town in the Douro Valley even gifted my daughter a bottle of wine for her to open when she turns 18.

Portugal is beautiful and awesome. Cost of living solid.

…Until govt bureaucracy show up in your life. Productivity of labor similar to alcoholic/weed smoking Louisiana painters.

Otherwise, rocks.

Porto is a great beach city but Spain sucks. I'd go again to every country I've been to in Europe except for Spain.

Spain has queers everywhere. The women have to do all if the manual labor like sweeping the streets because the men are too lazy and just smoke cigarettes and get rammed up the arse.

And Barcelona city streets smell like piss. I'm not sure if it's human piss or dog piss but it stinks.

Most of those qualities do exist in smaller communities in our country. The primary difference is culture. It has very little to do with the country, and everything to do with the culture of the FAMILY.

Youth unemployment there is upwards of 20% in most places and the government of Spain is all-in on importing more Muslims from North Africa.
