So business as usual? Guess the days of rain sleet or snow are over. LINK

"Due to the winter weather sweeping across most of the nation this weekend into next week, the Postal Service anticipates transportation and delivery impacts in many regions," the USPS said in a Thursday statement. "These conditions include heavy snow and blizzard conditions, damaging ice, record low temperatures, high winds, and long duration power outages."

..rain, sleet or dark of night.. I guess words don't mean anything anymore.

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.

Some people are still receiving my Christmas cards from over a month ago. What was their previous excuse?

So what are these 20 or so states where there isn't a delay?

Posted on 1/23/26 at 7:41 pm to W2NOMO
Is this because they are going on strike? Or just being lazy as frick? Like normal.

Their new motto is “Through rain, snow, sleet, or hail, you ain’t getting your fricking mail.”

I got a package UPS sent to USPS and it was supposed to be delivered Monday. UPS says USPS has it since Monday morning at 2:00am. USPS says they haven’t received it. LOL

My USPS is usually good but they’ve been having issues. I recently went a whole week without mail delivery and when they started delivering again, I never got the mail they didn’t deliver that whole week. Had an insurance refund check that was never delivered.

So a (predicted) enormous blizzard is supposed to sweep over 20+ states - many ill equipped for heavy snow - and the usps gets out in front of it saying delivery may be delayed and you’re upset?
How many people you think are going to work in Nashville if they get a foot of snow? Will you start a nagging thread about them too?

Bastards aren’t consistent or on time when the sun is out and weather is perfect so this isn’t a big deal.

Isn’t UPS unionized?

They don’t get in a hurry on even the prettiest days
No one should be surprised at this
