What are the ripple effects on the US?

If they are successful how big of a hit does the current US Empire and World order take?

Almost an infinite amount of possibilities could come from such an event

Are we chartering the Chinese to the Taiwanese shores?

The Chinese need to worry about the Chinese.

If they are successful, which they likely would be, it opens the entire Pacific to Chinese expansion. That's why it's important for us to continue pursuing an agenda of Western Hemisphere dominance right now.

China's not taking Taiwan. It would be a momumentalily stupid move by Xi and he knows it. Taiwan is a 100 miles off the China mainland. To fully take over, China would have to fully commit to an all out amphibious assault to fight in a heavily mountanous and rainforest island with densely populated cities that also has a very large well-trained, well-armed advanced tech army of its own. Not to mention, China gets 80% of its energy from global supply mostly coming from the ME and Russia.

The Chinese have a population problem on hand.

Also, if they attack Tawain you can say goodbye to the Three gorges dam.

If you don’t know what that will do type it in your AI and find out.

Check mate.

If Trump is in office and that happens, we'll likely go to war.

China won't try anything until we have another pussy Democrap president again. So, nothing will happen for at least the next 7-12 years.

Odds go up exponentially if someone like Kamala is POTUS.

I agree with this, except for two things.

1. It doesn't take a Democrat to be a pussy in office, especially when...

2. This board melted monthly and accused Biden and Democrats of trying to start WWIII when he was in office.

The only reason rightist populists turned into imperialist war hawks overnight is that Trump took some bold military actions.

Up to that point, Huckster Carlson had convinced them all that following the foreign policy of Jimmy Carter was the way to go.

And that pendulum could just as easily swing back the other way with a populist base, even if a Republican replaces Trump (which isn't the sure thing you seem to think it is). Trump is the only one who turned them away from the pussydom that they so eagerly embraced under Biden. They have accused plenty of other Republicans of "trying to start WWIII for profit" just like they did Biden.

If Huckster starts running his idiot mouth again after Trump leaves office about "'Muh 'Merca 'Fust" and "why would you send your children overseas to die for some other country?" again, they'll switch back to being pussies again without a second thought.

We live in the age of populism now. Democrats and Republicans can support the same policies now. You can't count on a Republican meaning "not a pussy" when it comes to foreign policy anymore.

The Chinese would consider anyone blowing up 3 Gorges to be on par with a nuclear attack and strike back accordingly. I don't see any nation committing to a defacto nuclear war to protect Taiwan.

The bigger issue would be saying goodbye to the Strait of Malacca. China would starve in the dark in under a year.

That is why it is important that Trump is cozying up to Russia. China needs to feel isolated in regards to military allies.

Give RUssia all of Ukraine, I do not care. But we need to have a free Taiwan.

I don’t understand how people can think they are so powerful when there is so many ways to strangle them.

The best thing we can do is re-establish large scale semiconductor manufacturing in the US. If we do that, the impact of China taking Taiwan would be minimal.
