After ducking USC, Notre Dama will play eight teams with at least 8 losses in 2025.

They ducked the game. USC wanted to continue but wanted a week 0 game so it was not in the middle of their Big 10 schedule;

With their side agreement, Notre Dame will likely be able to go 2-2 against the only teams with winning records and reach the playoff.

As a catholic, I absolutely abhor the fact that Notre Dame is considered THE Catholic University

ND needs to join the Big10 and shut up….their reign as the solo director of college football is exhausting.

College football has turned into a complete joke. Who really cares at this point?

So I had no idea that the Badgers play USC at Lambeau Field this year but that is a typical B1G schedule, not worth of a post especially on the OT.

The Committee left them out with 2 losses last year because of their weak schedule and not winning a conference.

You mean 2026? ND will finish 11-1 in the regular season because Miami is the toughest team they play.

Is that why the overall ratings are higher than in the past?

It's time to just start locking them out unless they pick a conference. frick this shite. The Power 4 need to get together on this and let them know that they'll steer the playoff committee to begin locking independents out.

Notre Dame isn’t in a conference because they only care about money so sounds about right for THE Catholic university

USC blew up the PAC 12 to join the Big 10, a move that 99% of this board hates. They put the series in Jeopardy for the opportunity to play Rutgers and Maryland.

Just curious, are they the only team to decline a bowl game? If you don’t make the ncaa tournament in basketball and decline a NIT bid, do people put those teams in the same category?

I think some other teams did decline it this past bowl season but it was primarily 5-7 teams that shouldn’t have been invited in the first place.

They need to make a rule that a city can only have one postseason game per college football season whether it’s a bowl or playoff game. Really they need to shrink the playoffs back down to 8 teams and all of the playoffs games are on campus except for the ESPNNCG and the bowls go back to be what they were, but that’s a whole other offseason post.
