The remaining 36 have multiple years of eligibility. The future is bright!

Side note: 8 of the 18 transfers from last year had only one year of eligibility.

Everyone is year to year these days. Hardly matters how many years they have left.

Oh so we have a bunch of kids and no real men or seniors on the roster; wow we will suck again. \s

Just kidding; I haven’t seen WolfCola post today so I figured someone needed to fill the role of being a baby back bitch.

It does matter, because it's mostly going to be those players competing for starting positions in the future. Even if half of them left, that's much less work to do in the portal next year, and the ones that remain will have had a year in Kiffin's system.

While that is true, it's refreshing to see a coach work this hard to get players that at least have the oppurtunity to play here multiple years. I don't want too many of these mercenaries on the team unless you are filing in gaps on what you think is a championship roster. Lane didn't walk into anything resembling a championship roster unfortunately.

Great. But they're all perpetual free agents so no guarantee they stay.

Unless half hop in the portal next year. This will be a constant fight every year only the strong and rich will survive

And? Everyone faces this problem. There's a reason Kiffin is building this way.

Love the stat but how many are draft eligible if they have a good year as we expect.

Lane spoke about this at the breakfast and said the staff lost very little of consequence to the portal while at OM and expected it to be like that here.

We will always lose some but will keep the ones that really matter.

He's the only one I can listen to in BR anymore. I just wish he would stop pounding his hand on the table. I can hear it in my truck going thump, thump, thump.

I downvoted

You are correct year to year but it does matter. Lane is building a team and teaching a system. It will take a year to just learn a chunk. And another year the rest and for them to improve their execution. 2nd year players in the system will benefit the team. This is the power of the kids from Ole Miss that already know his system. Yes, several will leave but only because they want a chance to earn playing time somewhere else. If the player has the desire and ability, the money will be there with Lane and LSU.

It’s a sign that Lane wants to develop players into his system and also retain those that are successful so that fewer new faces are needed year to year.
