Wasn't there a report that we offered him 6?

Admittedly, my only sauce is Tigerdroppings

Not my money, but insane if true. Especially, if he ends up blowing out a knee or has some other significant injury.

Probably. And whatever it is/was, it probably keeps climbing. Eventually 2 of the schools will just fold...not because they can't pay it but because it's out of hand.

$4-6m for an OL is insane.

I’m starting to wonder if they’ll be LSU football after the 20 26–20 27 season. Because we sure as hell are spending like LSU football has got one season left lol

How is this sustainable for even the richest boosters to keep doing end year out?

Pretty much. Don’t know if true but wouldn’t be surprised. There wasn’t many good LT that entered the portal this season.

Uhhhh

That number is uncomfortable for me and I’m not paying a dime for NIL

I can not relate to this kind of money for a 19 year old

They will never know how many decades it takes for the common middle class households to earn 4 million dollars

4O years x 100k each is 4 million

For a left tackle for one year would earn that over 12 games

Roughly 75 snaps a game average

That’s about 4400 per snap per game

And if he gets hurt, then what?

What process is used to "value" a given player?

Kiffin gave up a chance to make a run for a championship at Ole Miss to try to win multiple at LSU. He is all in on winning and winning fast no matter the financial cost.

Seems the money men at LSU committed to giving the money necessary for a fast turn around and to make the playoffs. LSU has a tough schedule next year. Seems everyone is keeping their word.

Holy shite

For us regular working plebs, yes "holy shite".

But for our chicken tenders, hedge fund and x-box guys not so much.

There is more than likely standard injury mitigation language in all these contracts. We will never know the terms because all that is NDA'd.
