I realized I don't like like football played in closed stadiums.

The playoff games this weekend were awesome.
All outdoor games on REAL grass in the weather. Uniforms getting all dirty, the weather, the snow. That's good postseason football.

The patriots play on field turf

100% agreed. It's so stale in these state-of-the-art venues that are nearly carbon copies of each other.

The snow on the field made up for that..

Also, frick natural grass if it’s as shitty and poorly maintained as Chicago, Washington, etc usually have. It’s a disgrace to play high level football on tha slop

Makes the football fun but the cities paying for the stadiums get a raw deal since they don't get the same mileage as indoor venues.

It’s great to watch, but I could not imagine being a fan in the stands, especially the Sea blowout.

Agreed, I kinda root for outdoor teams to advance and host so I can see these games. It'll be a thing of the past before long.

The weather is cool to a certain extent.
I dont want playoff game decided in a 7-3 game in a foot of snow. or a 10-7 games in a slip fest mud puddle.
I just don’t.

Everyone says this, but can the nfl stadiums not do something to prevent the winds from killing a majority of the fans? Are the winds in a true bowl shape not irrelevant for most? Idk I’m asking.
While not ideal, 15-20* in proper gear without wind is very manageable. Especially if you can stand

Browns building a domed stadium and there a rumors around pittsburgh that they are looking to build a dome.
This is being pushed so they could host super bowls and other events in the facility.

Indoor venues are not carbon neutral. (Ducking and running) When the environmentalists realize the amount of carbon it takes to heat and also to air condition the stadiums, they are going to demand trees be planted somewhere and that somewhere better have enough water to keep the trees alive.
Remember the movie with the killer bees trapped in the Superdome and killed by air conditioning? That needed a lot of air conditioning.

One of the big reasons so many A&M and Arkansas fans wanted our game the hell out of JerryWorld was b/c of how fricking dead atmosphere wise that stadium feels most of the game.
Of course the SEC took that game as a yearly match up away from us so it matters not now.

We need solid coloured endzones.
Shame on miserly Robert Kraft for not painting the Patriots endzones. Enjoy the $5000 you saved, a-hole

I've been to a bunch of Syracuse games in the Carrier Dome. When it's full, that place is an amazing environment for football.

quote:Eh. Having it indoors evens the playing field and eliminates weather causing game changing issues. I’d rather the game be decided by the players and not the weather. Also a reason I think umps behind the plate should be eliminated and it should be automated. Eliminates human error from causing issues.
Makes the football fun

The product and performance on the field is clearly better indoors or in neutral weather, but yeah, watching snow games is fun, and intriguing considering I would likely never voluntarily tailgate and sit for 4 hours in 20 degree weather to watch sports.
