I know they drafted JJ for the future but, aside from being injury prone, he's just not very good. His days at Michigan did nothing to prepare him for the NFL regardless of his athletic ability.

The Vikings are a great representative for the state of Minnesota.

What did Darnold do yesterday, or for the last couple months actually, that makes you think he worth all that money? Seattle is winning with D and a run game. He had 2 really good throws yesterday, that's about it.

He’s not asked to do a whole lot because of the team that’s been built around him. Do you actually think Seattle is in this same position with McCarthy as their QB?

Not looking at one game.

2024 Minn. 4300 yds, 35 TD, 66.2% Comp 14 wins
2025 Seat 4000 yds, 25 TD, 67.7% Comp. 14 wins (previous year without Darnold 10 wins)

It was an insane decision at the time. It's not college. Play the guy winning you 14 games and make your draft pick ride the bench until the time comes.

The Panthers had Darnold and Mayfield and cut both.

He played for the 49ers too and got beat out by last draft pick Brock Purdy the season before he went to Minnesota.

I mention this only because he just knocked Purdy and the 49ers out of the playoffs.

Purdy started the end of the season and got them to the NFCCG the year before they got Darnold. Darnold was also the backup in Carolina for 2 years before going to SF. Darnold developed in SF and Minnesota,

It's the defense and running game.

Sam Darnold is a bargain. He is the 20th highest paid QB. Makes less money than Geno Smith. The Seahawks saved money by landing Darnold, which allowed them to go out and sign Demarcus Lawerence.

I agree, but that’s 28 wins in 2 years. Not a lot of guys can say that.

Kevin McC is an arrogant moron who thought his Xs and Os could elevate a game manager rookie above a guy who was a veteran that had been put through some of the worst franchises in the NFL and came out the other side unbroken.

He will be fired next season for his decision.
