Despite the Wade cultists and/or the Mc-Whatever idiots, rational fans know that unless he goes on an unbelievable run, McMahon has had his chance and just has not gotten it done. Verge is apparently “wait and see” until the end of the season and that is fine with me.
Get an up and coming mid major coach who would be grateful for the opportunity. Leave the bulk of NIL with football, baseball, and WBB. Any increase for MBB, the new coach will have to prove himself and earn it. At the present level of funding, the right coach can get this program to the Dance about half the time.

He is unquestionably the worst coach we have had in any major sport since Curley Hallman
And Curley had a better SEC winning percentage

By many accounts, Trent Johnson was a nice guy too. He got canned after year four, and, unlike McMahon, he actually won an SEC title and brought that team to the second round of the NCAA tournament.
