Never mentioned on this board...I've had a few good meals there and I like it because I don't have to wear a damn coat. Anyone else like the place?

Love it. I get the Lamb Chops everytime. The serivce is always perfect
My bad, I was talking about the original Emerils. I have never been to Nolas.
I love Emerils, don't know why his places never get discussed

One of my least favorite places in the City. In the same category as Palace Cafe.

I walked by it a few weeks ago and saw the menu - it costs damn near the amount a meal at Stella! would...

Palace Cafe is overated IMO - we agree on that one. I like emeril's for the most part though. I have always had good meals. Not great but very good.

I have had two meals there...one excellent, one was pretty bad. There are too many places in this city to roll the dice on this one again...for now.
Emeril's on Tchoup is awesome though...excellent food and service.

This is sort of my assessment.
It's overpriced for what it is, both food and service wise.
I've only been once, and really never felt the need to go back.

Had what I considered a very fine meal there almost 4 years ago. Last year we went back and had a good meal, but maybe just not as impressive as the first. Ido like the fact that my boys are comfortable there, and if I were to go to a more upscale place, this probably wouldn't be the case.

I always prefered NOLA over Emeril's.

I've always thought Emeril's places are very solid-service and food. I would consider any of his places a destination meal worth going for. Then again, I also like the palace cafe which is much maligned on this board.

And I prefer water over wine.

Emeril's and Delmonico are both great, never been to NOLA, but I heard rumors earlier this year that he was closing it.

Been there several times... was never overly impressed. However, I see some new menu items I'd like to try.

I took my girlfriend there a few weeks ago when we were in New Orleans. The brie mac n' cheese was really good and the desserts were pretty tasty as well. Entrees were so-so for the price. Service wasn't anything to get excited about either.

I have never been but I seem to remember it getting pretty good reviews on this board about 5 months or more ago.
