Yes.

I think we'll probably go to Parkway. Inexpensive and tasty.

First off, I wouldn't take anyone, especially my friend, to Mother's.

And secondly, these aren't under $20 p/p.

Thanks for the response, though.

New Orleans dinner recommendations

Looking for a cheap place ($20 p/p or less) to take my friend who flew down from Pittsburgh. Any ideas?

Yeah, I go on there once in a while; unfortunately, it's not a very popular website.

Thanks for the reviews... I'll definitely have to check out these two places.

Louie's are good, but I'm partial to Waffle House.

Oh trust me, I will, as always.
If it was Gus's chicken, sorry fellas, but I'd whip y'all.

I'm trying to eat cheap this weekend. I have a lot of options: Yo Mama's, Parkway, Venezia, Boucherie, Fiorella's, K-Paul's (deli menu), and a $50 gift certificate to LA Thai Uptown.

Didn't care much for this movie... didn't care much for Slumdog, either...

I was looking for a menu, but couldn't find one. I saw someone said they had a peanut butter and bacon burger.

Sorry to break it to ya, I don't like him either, but he's gonna win.
OK, so... whatever happened to the one they were supposedly opening in Perkins Rowe?
Damn... I wish Rama and Pinetta's were involved.

OK, I just found out that it reopened under new management. I'll check it out this weekend while my beautiful wife is in the French Market purse-shopping.

Is Fiorella's even open anymore? I heard it shut down a few months back.

It's only open 11-3. The chicken was good, but a little overly salted and somewhat overrated, IMO. Service was horrible. There was only one server and it took forever to get our orders taken and served. I've heard of a place on Broad called McHardy's that is supposed to have really good fried chicken.

People rave about their fresh strawberry cake, but I've never cared for it. Just yellow cake, cool whip, and strawberries at a heightened price.

However, I have had several other cakes (petit-fours, etc.) that were excellent. They had some that were white cake with a chocolate frosting and raspberry or blackberry filling that were excellent.
Is the buffet at Ronnie's Ribs any good? I live in Shenandoah, but I've never been there.

I am going to Emeril's NOLA for brunch... no carving stations, but the menu looks great and the prices seem fair.

I'd like to see a DePaul logo...

OLOL Hospital Cafeteria... anything from the grill is great, especially the cheesesteaks.

Doesn't make a difference to me... I'd participate. The question is, would it be how MUCH the person could eat, or how FAST they could eat a particular amount?

It needs to be something everyone agrees on. I liked the raw oyster idea, but I also understand that some people don't like them. Maybe we could go to Doe's and do the challenge with some big-arse steaks...
