That sounds like a good one.

Hotel and Food in Tuscaloosa?

Posted by brooks043 on 4/29/09 at 10:56 pm
I've gotta make a weekend trip with my girlfriend to Gumpland in the next few weeks. I've driven through Tuscaloosa on the way back from Talladega, but never stopped to eat or spent the night. Where is a good, safe place to stay and where can I get something good to eat? (besides Dreamland, my gf doesn't eat ribs)
Thanks for the info. Hopefully the food will stay good long eanough for me to take my girlfriend to eat there when I'm in Dallas for the Keith Urban concert. She saw it on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives so now we have to try it.
I checked out the websites for both. Angry Dog looks more like a bar and Twisted Root looks more like a reastaurant. Is that right?
Thanks for the suggestions. I will send him a link so he can check out all of your suggestions. I'm thinking the BYOB place is gonna be the one he's gonna go with. I gave him a bottle of Goose the other day so he should be set for bloody mary's.
I've got a friend coming down to New Orleans this weekend for Jazz Fest and he's looking for a Sunday Brunch. He's bringing a new girlfriend with him so he wants it to be nice, but not rediculously expensive. He asked me, but all the ones I suggested to him don't include alcohol (i.e. mimosas) in the brunch price. Any suggestions of a sunday brunch that's not $50+/person and includes alcohol?

Buffalo tenderloin?

I was checking out some menus online before a trip to Dallas and I saw where Craft has buffalo tenderloin. I'm usually pretty adventurous when it comes to food. Can anyone tell me what buffalo is like?

Didn't Bea's close years ago?

I took my girlfriend there a few weeks ago when we were in New Orleans. The brie mac n' cheese was really good and the desserts were pretty tasty as well. Entrees were so-so for the price. Service wasn't anything to get excited about either.

Thanks for all the info. It looks like I'll just have to pay full price.

Texas de Brazil Coupon

Posted by brooks043 on 2/15/09 at 7:27 pm
I'm coming down this weekend for the baseball games and wanted to take my Dad and brother out to eat. Does anyone know where I can find one of the 50% coupons that I can use on a Saturday?

Thanks
