Cornerback (8)
DJ Pickett
PJ Woodland
Aidan Anding
Ja’Keem Jackson
Michael Turner
Dez Ellis (HS Recruit)
Havon Finney Jr. (HS Recruit)
Emari Peterson (HS Recruit)

Seriously?

LSU has two CBs who have played and half the fan base hates Woodland and thinks he sucks (I like the guy). Finney would be my guess as the third guy who can play but he hasn't even practiced in college yet. The other guys haven't shown sh*t.

If we're being honest about it, there isn't much experience in that room.
Would be nice to add a CB or two.

I agree with this regardless of the "strength of the secondary." DB's should be stacked like cord wood.

Same guys that got mad at Blake Baker in the later part of the season… room temp IQ.

Always need numbers at CB and Edge. Never have enough. They are unique because the success of one directly correlates to the success of the other.

I talk a lot of LSU football with people that I know football and more that don't. Haven't heard anything negative about PJ.

I could see PJ taking a giant step this season and having a long career in the NFL. Reminds me of Ron Brooks who became invaluable by the end of his LSU career.

Top 2 are elite and would start at almost every sec program. Next 2 are highly touted recruits in yr 2 and 4. Maybe a mature depth body will be added. Or play young fr 3rd string

We added the boise safety because spears is great in coverage and plays nickel db quite often. Cooley and boise are s and allows spears to be the 3rd safety. Then you have anding and brown. Same rotation as this year, except anding replaces woodlands role. Woodland replaces delane

I think Woodland had a better year then pickett. Pickett missed alot of tackles. We're lucky to have both

Woodland is a really good corner. Anyone saying he sucks is really dumb

I asked this to a staffer and was told that Raymond is high on both Jackson and Turner, which is why they didn't go after any corners in the portal.

I don't think this is true. Not even close.

I see a Cordale Flott, who is playing a lot in the league.

They are probably ok with this room but I think you are right, if they could add a guy with some chops, that’d be great

Corey Raymond is as solid as they come at identifying the corner position.

I am in agreement. A proven corner would be icing on the defensive side. And I love our two starters, but things happen in a season.

We need another good one.

2 good starters. The rest is talented but unproven. It will be hard to replace Delane from last year. Anding was a stud in high school and should be good, but might need a year to acclimate. Jackson looked solid in his limited pt.

Safety room is similar. 2 good starters at each spot. Hoping we add 1 more to each group.

Haulcey and Delane were such a big part of our D last year.

If Raymond thinks we’re fine at corner we’re fine at corner. You said it yourself the rest of the room is talented who gives a shite if they’re unproven ? Play them and Develop then ! Cant always use the portal is a get out of jail free card if you have a deep young talented room play that young talent inexperienced players get better by playing .Theirs no stud corner even left at this point of the portal
