- Heisman Winner
- came into the CFB finals on a string of blow out wins
- seeking their first natty against a perennial championship winning program

Unfortunately for them the Ohio state buckeyes were too dominant in the trenches. It really feels like Miami is built a similar way plus like that 2014 Ohio state team they sort of back doored into the playoffs and was a major underdog against bama (like how Miami was an underdog against Ohio state this year) and shocked the world

Miami wins due to strength in the trenches straight up

8.5 is definitely a lot of points at the very least.

Miami doesn't have nearly the offensive skill player talent that Ohio State team did. They also don't have Urban Meyer drawing up the gameplan.

That Ohio State team was a threat to score on any down from anywhere on the field with how explosive they were. Even though Toney is really good, Miami hasn't shown that ability this season.

Miami has one way to win football games - short passes/heavy run, lean on defense. Control the ball and the clock. Indiana's offense can easily dominate and force Miami to keep up - just don't see Miami having enough talent to actually win the game.

Iowa OL won the Joe Moore award, Rimington winner, and has 2 all Americans, one a consensus.

Indiana and Oregon were the other finalists for the Joe Moore award. Miami was not.

Miami’s DL is probably the best in the land. Indiana is right there too.

Oh wow. I thought you said perennial championship winning opponent. How is a team that hasn’t won a championship since 2002 perennial?

all time they have won many titles

5 rings

Ohio state was in a bit of a drought when they played Oregon too, only 1 title since 1970 at that point

lol. Miami hasn’t done shite for 20+ years. They haven’t even won a conference title and they’re on their 5th coach since Larry Coker’s national title. They’ve had 9 seasons in the turd ACC where they finished .500 or worse.

If Indiana loses this game, is it up there with 1998 KSU, 2007 WVU, and 2011 Oklahoma State for most soul-crushing losses in CFB history?

Oregon lost because of Mark Helfreich and WRs dropping passes. Ohio state maybe keeps running down 21-3 but I doubt it if our WRs stopped dropping passes
