Interesting legal dilemma here as many progs support 3rd trimester abortions on demand.

A Jennings woman has been arrested after her drug abuse allegedly caused the death of her unborn child, authorities said.
Shandelynn Benoit, 28, of Jennings, is charged with third-degree feticide. Jennings Police responded to a local hospital which reported a pregnant woman had suffered an apparent overdose. She subsequently lost the baby, officials said.
Investigators said Benoit, who was 37 weeks pregnent, admitted using fentanyl and heroin throughout her pregnancy despite repeated warnings by doctors to stop. Benoit had suffered from stomach pain, and used fentanyl/heroin to relieve the pain, authorities said.

Damn... that's messed up.
I hope she is held accountable.
As for the baby, I don't know what's worse- dying before getting neglected to death or being born addicted with that for a mother. Poor little one.

Yeah, that’s a pretty horrific story. My son was born at 39 weeks. That child was almost full term.
