Just listen to Rubber Soul and Revolver back to back.
Case closed. So far ahead of their time...

Listen to any of their albums. They really didn't make a bad album.

Pretty remarkable little band. Never before, never again.

Yeah, as someone who grew up when they were already dominating oldies radio and classic rock, it's pretty amazing to think about what a short time period they did all their recording in.
From the 80's on, 7 years became the amount of time you might wait for your favorite band to put out another album only to be disappointed.

Never before and never again. Each album equal to most bands' Greatest Hits issues, and after the breakup, songs from their solo releases could have made five more albums as good as any of their Beatles releases. And at the time, singles were preferable to album songs, so dozens of their most popular singles weren't on albums now considered classics.
What they did is really not possible, but here we are.

There’s probably this very same thread on each page of this forum.
Going back to the beginning of time.
