If Bessent knew this going in, then that's on him. He could have brought the IRS' CI agents as security (and the added drama of the media shitting itself because he arrived with the IRS in tow ).
If the Walz administration had already agreed to provide protection then pulled it at the last minute, then that's on Walz but it should serve as notice to every member of Trump's administration that they should show up with their own security in MN for as long as Walz is Governor.
