Latest I have on QB

I will start by saying this has been absolutely wild.

I mentioned previously how most of my sources were burned when Austin Thomas departed LSU and the new staff came on in but I’m still close with some program benefactors.

Well I just got back from lunch with a couple. And here’s what I got.

According to this source (this is a single source so take this for what you will, I was unable to confirm with anyone else) :

Sam Leavitt has always been the #1 target in the portal. There was a deal in place when we had him on campus and we could’ve gotten his commit right then and there.

Demond Williams was made aware of this by LSU. (LSU has been working on him for weeks to get him in the portal) (this was basically LSUs last ditch effort to get him into the portal). Well… Demond had to eff it all up. He jumps in the portal.
The Leavitt camp left the visit unhappy and shite would too. You quite literally had the NUMBER 1 PLAYER IN THE PORTAL LOCKED UP and you tried getting cute.
And then naturally Demond pulls his name (my source was genuinely shocked he ever entered after resigning and it seemed LSU was too.)
I’ll also add this my source said LSU was ready and more than willing to make it work but Demond was getting cold feet do to the gymnastics and legalities of this whole thing.

Well fast forward to yesterday. Lane and Leavitt were on a couple phone calls throughout the last couple days mending the relationship and Leavitt gives him the green light to head to Knoxville to visit him.
From what I am told LSU and Sam Leavitt reached an agreement last night to make Sam the next LSU QB.
I am told this is what Lanes tiger tweet was from last night.
I am told this is still the expectation today. The Miami visit was always happening. His family was already traveling there by the time Lane caught him in Knoxville.
I was told today that we should expect an announcement of Leavitt to LSU within the next couple days and by the earliest tonight.

Stay tuned men!! As I mentioned I have nothing direct anymore and this is a singular source but it’s a GOOD one.
