I don't think LSU is as bad as they've played. They just have the misfortune today of playing a redhot Vandy team in a notoriously difficult gymnasium in front of rocking home crowd. LSU 66, Vanderbilt 82.
Vanderbilt is this year's Indiana Hoosiers-- of college hoops. I hope LSU can compete.

Noncontact lower leg injury, and he's listed as doubtful for today. However, you'll find more info about LSU signing a backup OL in the portal than you will about this injury in the local media.
Apparently, he reinjured an injury he had played through in the past. CMM has said that Thomas has a ways to go, and there are whispers that they don't think it's season-ending.

They will lose, but why doesn’t the NCAA, SEC, and people in general demand that Vandy blow up that gym and start over. Build it like every single basketball court in the World with benches for players and staff on the sidelines where it’s supposed to be. I’m sorry it’s the STUPIDEST set up in the sport. Even Trinidad, Africa, China, and Sweden have it right. The Blue field at Boise is one thing but the foxhole on the end of the court is imho is the most ridiculous set up in sports.

If Thomas is back, then UK and Mizzo at home are both winnable games. After that, the only games that LSU is likely to be favored in are SC and Ole Miss. However, if Thomas misses UK and Mizzo, then the season is over.

Tigers started 1-8 in 2008 when they decided to can John Brady (who had led the team to a Final Four just two seasons earlier)!
Fun fact: who is the only SEC opponent CMM has a winning record against? It's Vanderbilt-- LSU is 3-2 vs the Dores in the McMahon regime (1-0 in Memorial Gymnasium).

Don't ever say Kentucky is a "winnable" game. Kentucky this year isn't what they usually are, but LSU will be hard pressed to beat them, with or without Thomas
