Just an absolutely horrific thread title. Like tier 24 poster level

PGA should let brooks back on to show the other big dogs on LIV the door is currently open.
Get Rahm back and sink LIV.
Get Rahm back and sink LIV.

PGA should let brooks back on to show every PGA tour player they should all leave , take a payday, then just come back freely
Would be dumb as hell to let him back without penalty. Even if you have zero issue with LIV, if you let him back with no penalty you give the green light for every player to leave the PGA tour
And Rahm wouldn’t come. He isn’t close to earning most of his Liv money yet. Your idea would cause more leakage to LIV, not brining players back to the tour

Lot of butt hurt LIV folks about to make some outrageous comments.

Hasn't Brooks already served his one year penalty? Or does it apply each year? Heard Brooks got out of his contract with LIV because they went to 72 holes.

They're independent contractors so they should be able to leave and come back if they want, if they still have status. Brooks and Rahm both have it for years to come due to "recent" major wins.
All PGA tour players have benefitted from LIV with the increased purses. They should move on and accept anyone that wants to return.
I think Rahm only left because he thought a merger was imminent and was capitalizing on a big payday. It seems that he otherwise regrets moving due to the lack of competitiveness and legacy.

You sound butt hurt. I've never understood why people have to take sides. Can you not just enjoy golf?

You’ve been an emotional wreck over LIV. He’s going to come back. With minimal or no penalty. He made a great call for himself and his family. He took advantage of the situation and looks smart. That angers you, we know. I’d tell you to get over it but I know you won’t.

LIv is falling apart and crumbling and you take that as a win with me
Dude take your L, LIv is a failure. It’s ok. I’m just talking about what is the smart move for the pga tour. You set yourself in a massive trap multiple ways with letting him back with zero penalty. There is no emotion in the below. It’s basic logic
1. The most obvious one: have fun with the multiple lawsuits you are guaranteed to lose from the players you did penalize
2. What I said earlier. You let him back freely and you build a bridge for every PGA tour player to leave for a payday right now
You are so emotional that you can’t see straight right now. The above is just common sense
If you want him back sooner that later make him pay a multi million fine that goes to a players pool. Simple as that. But letting him back freely when you have already penalized players jsut isn’t going to work
ETA: your post maybe the most delusional in TD history
(One of LIVS biggest stars leaves and wants to be back on PGA tour)
Your Comment to guy who said Liv sucks and will never make it:
“lol suck it pride I bet you are so mad “

Explain this to me like I'm dumb, because I am on the subject.
Why should he and anyone be penalized for rejoining the PGA?
If someone leaves the NFL for the CFL then returns to the NFL, the idea of penalizing them is stupid. You choose what is best for your career, and if LIV offers more money you get it while it's on the table. Why wouldn't you?
PGA and the idea of penalizing people coming back seems like they are trying to have a very eliteist attitude regarding a competing league.
I would think if they want to prove the PGA is the best, they would welcome the best players back with open arms and let LIV fall to a 2nd rate league.

Go look at the announcement from only 10 days ago threatening the penalties for players simply playing on the LIV portioned tournament this weekend
Go look at Pat Perez being suspended for being an announcer

Posting 1500 words to prove you don’t care is a choice.

This explains nothing. Brooks should be penalized because the PGA penalized others? That's it? How does that make it a good idea? Seems that would only prevent more people from considering rejoining the PGA and push them to double down and try to grow LIV.
It makes no sense and seems petty at best.

The PGA Tour has a rule that it's members can't play in events that occur at the same time as PGA Tour events without prior permission. It's sort of a non-compete for the independent contractor players and is meant to protect the Tour's events and sponsors since all players don't play in every event. LIV obviously occurs at the same time as PGA Tour events, so those players were suspended by the PGA Tour when they left.

frick that guy. Make him earn his way back in at Q school or Koen Ferry. There has to be a punishment for leaving.

I enjoyed golf more when it was just the PGA tour and not this LIV sideshow.

The punishment is a 1 year suspension from his last LIV event.
He has a 5 yr Tour exemption for winning 2023 PGA Championship
